Privacy Policy & Terms
Effective date: July 21, 2026 · Bim Gui and bimgui.com are published by TriPoint LLC, a Colorado limited liability company (brands: "TriPoint MFG", "Tripoint Manufacturing").
The short version: the Bim Gui add-ins run locally inside Revit and AutoCAD. The hosted webapp exists to sync exports you choose to upload, run your account, and answer support requests. We don't sell your data, we don't run ads, and we don't train AI on your uploaded project data. Only upload model data you're authorized to share.
Privacy Policy
1. What the add-ins process locally
Bim Gui runs inside Autodesk® Revit® and AutoCAD®. The Excel exchange, CAD round-trip, image/PDF export, parameter mapping, workset, BOM, and batch tools process your model data on your own workstation. Depending on the command, that can include Revit element data, family/type parameter values, shared parameter names and GUIDs, exported views, DWG exchange files, CAD indexes, and scan/point/mesh exports. None of it is sent to TriPoint unless you use a connected upload command.
2. Hosted sync (bimgui.com)
Connected commands can upload exported model, CAD, scan, or metadata packages to https://bimgui.com or another endpoint you or your organization configures. Uploaded packages are stored to power the web workspace and companion apps (including the iOS companion) and are retained until you delete them or your account is closed. Only upload data you are authorized to share — check your firm's and client's project-data policies first. We do not sell uploaded data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
3. Accounts
The webapp supports first-party accounts. We store the account identifier you register, a hashed credential, session tokens (browser local storage on the web; app preferences in the iOS/desktop companion), role information, and administrative status. Admin operations, statistics, and revocations are logged for security.
4. Support requests
Support and contact requests submitted through the site or by email are stored with the details you provide (name, email, message, and any screenshots, logs, or sample files you attach). We use them to respond and to improve the product, and retain them as long as reasonably necessary for support and business records. You may ask us to delete support materials you provided.
5. Purchase entitlement and payments
For paid purchases, Bim Gui verifies entitlement through the Autodesk App Store Entitlement API by sending Autodesk's internal user identifier for the current session together with the Bim Gui App ID. The response only confirms whether protected commands may run, and successful checks are cached locally. Payments are handled by the applicable checkout provider (Autodesk App Store, Shopify-supported payments, PayPal, or another provider we designate) under that provider's own terms and privacy policy; TriPoint does not store full payment card numbers.
6. Server logs, security, and disclosure
The hosted service records standard technical logs (IP, timestamp, request) for security and reliability. Transport uses HTTPS. We disclose information only to infrastructure providers that host the service, when required by law, to protect our rights and users, or with your permission. We do not sell personal information.
7. Your rights
Email support@tripointmfg.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data, uploads, or support materials. We honor requests as required by applicable law, including the Colorado Privacy Act where it applies. This service is for professional use and is not directed to children under 13.
Terms of Service & License
1. Agreement
By installing the Bim Gui add-ins or companion apps, creating an account, or using bimgui.com (together, the "Service"), you agree to these terms with TriPoint LLC. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent you have authority to bind it.
2. License
TriPoint grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Bim Gui software on machines you control, subject to your purchase or entitlement where required. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or reverse engineer the software except where the law permits it notwithstanding this term. Store distributions (Autodesk App Store, Apple App Store) are additionally governed by those stores' terms.
3. Purchase
Bim Gui is sold as a one-time purchase at the price shown at checkout (currently $9.99 on the Autodesk App Store) by the applicable store or payment provider, under that provider's billing rules. Where a store's refund policy applies (e.g., Autodesk or Apple), that policy governs refunds for purchases made there.
4. Your data and responsibilities
You retain all rights to your models and uploads. You are responsible for your credentials, upload keys, configured endpoints, and for having the right to upload any project data. Do not use the Service to store or transmit unlawful content or to breach, probe, or overload our systems. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or create risk for the Service.
5. Professional responsibility
Bim Gui is a productivity tool. Exports, imports, parameter edits, quantity takeoffs, BOMs, and synced data must be reviewed by a qualified professional before use in construction, fabrication, procurement, or permitting. TriPoint is not your engineer of record, and Bim Gui output is not a professional engineering deliverable, drawing of record, or code-compliance determination.
6. Autodesk and other trademarks
Autodesk, Revit, AutoCAD, and Plant 3D are registered trademarks of Autodesk, Inc. Bim Gui is an independent product of TriPoint LLC and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Autodesk beyond distribution through the Autodesk App Store.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRIPOINT LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, PROJECTS, OR GOODWILL, AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE SUBSCRIPTION FEES YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
8. Governing law; changes
These terms are governed by Colorado law, with disputes resolved in Colorado courts, except where applicable law mandates otherwise. We may update this page; the effective date above will change, and material changes will be noted here. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
